History
Our Mentoring Program was established in the year 2000 with a focus on providing a nurturing environment for Sunflower County Youth in order to curb juvenile delinquency. It has been a successful tool in providing academic, self development and culturally enriching opportunities for the participants. The program has served over 150 youth. The mission is to improve the quality of life for youth by empowering them through positive mentoring, character building and career development.
In January 2006, the Mentoring Program began a journey of strategic planning to position itself for future growth. We have a vision and a mission for the citizens of Sunflower County. We are educating these citizens from early childhood to adulthood. We are positioning them to be leaders in the homes, their communities, and their civic organizations. Without resources that our program provides, our children will certainly encounter many negative experiences in the world. We've graduated 100% of our mentees, who have gone on to be successful in various fields. Check out the testimonials of a few of our past mentees.

Currently
It is the vision of the Mentoring Program of Ruleville to be the leader in providing comprehensive mentoring activities for the youth in our region. This will be accomplished by offering 1:1 and group mentoring sessions that improve the lives of young people in areas such as self-esteem, recreation, health, leadership, education, and career development.
Currently, we meet every other Tuesday night at 6:00 pm at our location. Activities are provided to equip youth holistically, through enrichment activities, career exploration, team building, and cooperative learning.
